My husband, Jimbo, recently purchased a new uniform wardrobe for work. All his old uniforms were getting too worn to wear to work, but everything is still very usable. He tossed everything into the trash!! What?! I rescued it all in hopes that I could find somewhere in the area collects old clothing for recycling. After a little research I found these two links that I wanted to share:
Recycling Worn Out Clothing (an article about recycling clothing)
Goodwill Clothes Recycling (a short video documenting what Goodwill does with unsold and unsellable donated clothing)
Enjoy and be green!

Good for you!! it's amazing how many people do this and how many others are blessed by this simple act of passing on our discarded clothing pieces. I LOVE thrift store shopping and have purchased many amazing things over the years, my cashmere sweaters some of the more bigger finds :)) yes! cashmere!

I should add that we have often thrown old socks and underwear away because I didn't think anyone would take them to reuse them, but these CAN be recycled at Goodwill. That's what brought this post on, much of what he threw away was socks and underwear - and old Coast Guard uniforms that are the old style and we don't want the public to be able to purchase. He cut up the uniforms so they will be sure to be recycled and not sold.
